At Botulax USA, we focus on three priorities:

Clear product information

We organize product specifications in an easy-to-understand format, including available unit strengths, formulation details, manufacturer information, and professional-use considerations.

Professional focus

Botulax is a prescription medical product. Our website content is designed to support healthcare professionals and qualified buyers rather than encourage self-treatment or self-administration.

Responsible information

Medical products should always be used according to official product documentation and applicable regulations. Because approvals and indications can vary by country, we encourage healthcare professionals to verify current local requirements before use.

Our commitment

We aim to make information about Botulax products easier to access while maintaining a professional and transparent approach to medical aesthetics.

What is Botulax?

Botulax is a botulinum toxin type A product manufactured by Hugel, Inc., South Korea. The Botulax product family includes 50U, 100U, and 200U presentations and has been distributed internationally for aesthetic and therapeutic applications. In South Korea, a 150-unit dosage strength is also available as an option for muscle spasticity and blepharospasm.

Hugel has developed a broad medical aesthetics portfolio that includes botulinum toxin products, dermal fillers, and other injectable aesthetic solutions. The company was established in 2001 and has expanded its presence across international markets.

Botulax quality & stability

Hugel Inc. is known for its high-quality products and state-of-the-art facilities, ensuring the stability and durability of its biopharmaceuticals. Their specialized quality control and quality assurance standards keep Botulax at a stable potency during manufacture and distribution, maximizing its outcomes upon administration.

Botulax also showed excellent stability after reconstitution when the vial is stored properly, specifically at cold (8–15 °C) or freezing temperatures (2–8 °C). Clinical studies highly recommend that Botulax be used within 24 hours of reconstitution following directions for use of the medicine. The graph below displays how Botulax maintains its stability after being diluted depending on the volume unit.

Two line charts: potency in units (LD50) of Botulax 50U, 100U, 150U and 200U over time after reconstitution, in cold storage (0 hours to 4 months) and freezer storage (0 hours to 4 months). Potency declines gradually in both.

Botulax purity

Botulax was developed with 99% purity, containing a high concentration of purified Clostridium botulinum toxin type A. The graph shows that the toxin complex of Botulinum Toxin Type A exists in the 19S (900 kDa), 16S (500 kDa), and 12S (300 kDa) forms, depending on the molecular weight. Each Botulax concentration is a guaranteed highly purified Botulinum toxin strain, ensuring full wrinkle improvement effects.

Moreover, Hugel used the technique called SE-HPLC, or Size Exclusion High-Performance Liquid Chromatography, to analyze the Botulax undiluted toxin complex solution for its purity. It resulted in a purity of over 99%, satisfying the parameters of a high-quality neuromuscular solution during clinical trials.

Botulax safety & efficacy

Botulax has undergone numerous clinical trials, proving its efficacy and safety upon injection. Studies compared it with other prominent botulinum toxin brands, such as Allergan’s Botox, and Botulax has demonstrated comparable effectiveness. The following studies demonstrate Botulax’s excellent effects on various signs of aging.
